Respiratory Equipment Technician
About The Position
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by a talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. The Equipment Technician performs support duties for the department such as maintaining inventory of equipment, stocks, verifies proper functioning and placement of equipment, troubleshoots and performs quality assurance testing on equipment. Reports to Department Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Must be a self-starter, demonstrate resourcefulness and work independently
- Must be able to perform moderately strenuous tasks, work with high temperatures and contaminated equipment
- Must be responsible in the handling of expensive equipment and pharmaceuticals
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications used in ordering supplies
