About The Position

The Director of Respiratory Care Services is responsible for the daily operations of the Respiratory Care department including all administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure efficient provision of high quality health care services. The Director is responsible for quality control activities, performance improvement, and clinical operations of the department. Additionally, the Director plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the work of the department and coordinates its efforts with other areas of the hospital. The Director is also responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements related to Respiratory Care services. Population: provides cardiac diagnostic and respiratory therapy services for the in-patient and out-patient population 24 hours per day. The patient population served by Respiratory Care Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac, respiratory care, services, treatment of testing to maintain optimum physiological maintenance of the cardiac and respiratory systems.

Requirements

  • Experience in respiratory therapy services.
  • Knowledge of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities.
  • Understanding of quality control and performance improvement.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate departmental work.
  • Skills in coordinating efforts with other hospital areas.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for Respiratory Care services.
  • Experience serving newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Proficiency in cardiac diagnostic and respiratory therapy services.
