About The Position

Under the guidance of the Team Leader and/or Supervisor of Respiratory Care, the Respiratory Care Specialist/Student serves as a member of the healthcare team, assisting with care for the appropriate patient population. The role provides respiratory care, including electrocardiograms and non-invasive therapy, as ordered by physicians and according to established standards and practices. It also involves cleaning, disinfecting, and storing respiratory therapy equipment and restocking supplies.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
• An Associate Degree is listed as required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care for the appropriate patient population as part of the healthcare team.
• Provide respiratory care, including electrocardiograms and non-invasive therapy, as ordered by physicians and according to established standards and practices.
• Clean, disinfect, and store respiratory therapy equipment.
• Restock supplies.
