About The Position
PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. This 13-week assignment offers a competitive hourly rate for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to perform routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, and maintain equipment. The role also includes providing phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as needed.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
- Maintains all equipment in working order.
- Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
