About The Position
PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Katy is opening soon and is looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join their team. This role will involve caring for a diverse patient population, with a preference for candidates with prior inpatient hospital experience or a strong commitment to learning. PAM Health specializes in caring for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care, operating over 80 hospital locations nationwide with more than 11,000 employees dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
- Maintains all equipment in working order.
- Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
