About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner – 2 South ICU to join the exceptional team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this critical care role, you will provide advanced respiratory assessment, treatment, and life-support interventions for critically ill adult patients while working alongside physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Completion of the required education or training necessary to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements.
  • Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide respiratory care in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or other critical care setting.
  • Experience managing mechanically ventilated patients and advanced airway support.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience with ventilator management, arterial blood gas interpretation, and critical care respiratory protocols.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and multidisciplinary patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced respiratory assessment, treatment, and life-support interventions for critically ill adult patients.
  • Work alongside physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit.
  • Manage mechanically ventilated patients and provide advanced airway support.
  • Manage ventilators, interpret arterial blood gases, and implement critical care respiratory protocols.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and participate in multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Travel as required.
