About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for its diverse patient population in its hospitals, which serve chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care. The practitioner performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and includes other related duties as assigned. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn is welcomed.

Requirements

• Be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
• Possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
• At least one year of clinical respiratory experience.
• An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
