About The Position

This role involves evaluating patient needs based on diagnosis to develop, implement, and adjust comprehensive care plans and advanced respiratory modalities. The practitioner will continuously monitor and record patient conditions, communicate status updates to the medical team, and respond to emergency resuscitation calls. Additionally, the role includes educating patients and their families on health conditions, medication administration, and the use of community support programs or available resources. The practitioner will also oversee the calibration, sterilization, and maintenance of all respiratory equipment while managing departmental inventory and supply levels.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
