About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for its diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, an associate degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
- Maintain all equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
