About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality respiratory care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines and objectives of Respiratory Care Services. The RCP makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectations of excellence of the organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved CoARC RCP Program.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License by the state of California.
  • CRT required.
  • RRT required if hired after July 2017.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification required.
  • A minimum of 6 months post graduate acute care as an RCP.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred.
