About The Position

To provide care to the total spectrum of patients served by Respiratory Care Services to include patients in acute and critical care areas, pediatrics, Emergency Room, and assist physicians with special procedures (intubation, bronchoscopy, etc.). Assumes responsibility for the prompt and/or routine execution of physicians’ orders relating to Respiratory Care Services. Community Memorial Health System was established in 2005 when Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura merged with Ojai Valley Community Hospital. It is comprised of these two hospitals along with a network of primary and specialty care health centers serving various communities across west Ventura County. Requirements

  • Current CA Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Two (2) years of experience in respiratory care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
