About The Position

As a Resource RN, you will provide diverse professional nursing services, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role involves collaboratively developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans, utilizing critical thinking for patient assessment, planning, and delegation. You will also be responsible for patient and family education, managing issues in a physician's absence, and demonstrating accountability for care quality and efficient resource utilization, including comprehensive perioperative care. Key duties include conducting care assessments, interpreting data, completing competencies, and maintaining accurate patient documentation. The Registered Nurse collaborates with patients and families to evaluate, plan, direct, and administer care, incorporating various patient-specific factors. This includes knowledge of medications, safe administration, and appropriate delegation of tasks.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing
• Minimum one year of experience as an RN in an acute care facility, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide diverse professional nursing services, delivering quality patient care, regulatory requirements, and nursing scope of practice.
• Collaboratively develop, implement, and assess patient care plans.
• Directly engage in patient care, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, coordinate, and delegate tasks to the patient care team.
• Continuously educate patients, families, and staff, implementing interventions for optimal outcomes.
• Manage issues in a physician's absence.
• Demonstrate accountability for care quality, with authority to direct care and utilize resources efficiently.
• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Conduct care assessments and interpret assessment data to determine care needs and constraints.
• Successfully complete system-based and hospital-specific competencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, and patient response, integrating into the plan of care.
• Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer care to the patient in collaboration with patients and families.
• Implement a plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
• Possess knowledge of medications, and administer safely and accurately.
• Appropriately delegate and supervise routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.
