About The Position

This position is part of a resource pool where employees may be asked to flex to other roles as needed to help the flow of material through the Drying process. TPMs (Total Productive Maintenance) are a part of every position in the mill, which may include mandatory overtime for completion of TPM tasks. Additional duties may be assigned. The role requires continuous mental and visual attention, often working in short, repetitive cycles. Successful candidates must be able to work in various jobs, potentially rotating to different duties such as machine operation, material handling, grading, quality checks, and clean-up. The position requires following written and verbal instructions, providing feedback, and applying critical thinking. Employees must use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast-paced forklift traffic, machine noise, and varying environmental conditions throughout the year. Columbia Forest Products is North America's largest manufacturer of hardwood plywood and hardwood veneer products, with decorative interior veneers and panels used in high-end cabinetry, fine furniture, architectural millwork, and commercial fixtures.
