About The Position

This position is within Munson Healthcare, a large healthcare system in northern Michigan. The Resource Nurse Clinician is accountable to the Unit Manager or designee and provides direction and supervision to various healthcare staff including RNs, LPNs, Techs, Clerks, and Nursing Assistants. The role involves working collaboratively with the Patient Care Team to support the mission, vision, and values of Munson Healthcare, which focuses on providing superior quality care and promoting community health. The clinician is expected to embrace performance improvement, promote safety, and understand Relationship-Based Care (RBC) principles.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure within the State of Michigan.
BSN required; MSN strongly encouraged. A candidate may be considered if within one semester of completing BSN degree.
Requires five years of nursing experience.
Is a self-directed professional who is able to function autonomously in a leadership role to assist and support staff nurses in decision-making and problem-solving clinical issues related to the delivery of nursing care.
Demonstrates ability in using the computer with Windows format preferred.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the clinical area in which application has been made is desirable.
Encouraged to obtain certification in specialty area of practice.
