About The Position
Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. This role is for a Resource Manager in the Operating Room, requiring specialized clinical expertise and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Passion for Perioperative Services
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in the Operating Room, with expertise in the position's specialty line.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
Nice To Haves
- Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- CNOR preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical expertise and skill in the specified surgical specialty.
- Manage education of staff, including employees' orientation to the unit, standards of care, and competencies.
- Act as a support person and role model for the unit – including ordering supplies for the unit, participating in the capital budget process, vetting and implementing new technologies, and arranging in-servicing.
