The Resource Management Coordinator identifies unit staffing requirements and finalizes the overall organizational staffing plan utilizing available resources with minimal supervision. In collaboration with the Hospital Nursing Supervisor, they will problem-solve and seek remedies for unique and imminent unit staffing needs during their assigned shifts. The RMC 1 utilizes CTCC online MNA contracts and SAC policies; SEIU contract and practices; and non-contract policies/practices when finalizing staffing plans. They are responsible for triaging clinical staffing areas of concern and alerting the Hospital Nursing Supervisor when needed. This role is within the care traffic control center (CTCC), which oversees the operations of each hospital dispersed between three campuses. The CTCC staff includes dedicated hospital nursing supervisors and staffing office personnel who work closely together to continuously monitor each hospital’s unit activity and staffing needs while maintaining the organizational core value of putting “kids first.” The CTCC department provides a distinctive opportunity for team members to lead through collaboration with each unit in prioritizing patient flow, triaging operational issues or clinical staffing areas of concern, and organizing overall daily staffing resources within one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States.
