About The Position

The Resort Services Agent (RS Agent) combines the skills of a Guest Services, Retail Clerk, and Rental Tech Agent to create a versatile team member. This role is dynamic, involving sales, high customer service standards, and requires the agent to become a subject matter expert (with training provided). The RS Agent will contribute to a safe guest experience and support daily operations across various outlets. As the primary frontline contact with guests, the agent must engage them positively and professionally represent the resort. This position demands the ability to handle a high volume of guests and requires flexibility to transition quickly and effectively between different tasks and operating outlets. The RS Agent is expected to be knowledgeable about all resort offerings and activities, providing accurate information, engaging guests, and proactively selling the right products and services. The core of this role involves providing accurate information, being animated, and proactively selling.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and climb.
  • Ability to push/pull.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Concentrated focus on equipment.
  • Concentrated reading and writing.
  • Rapid reaction to physical changes (operating equipment).
  • Possess peripheral, color, and depth vision.
  • Ability to tolerate variations in temperature from hot to cold.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in keyboard skills.
  • Experience using a Point of Sales system.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill sales orders and sell a variety of services including Rental Equipment, Season Pass and Ticket Sales, and Ski & Ride School fulfillment.
  • Act as a front-of-the-house revenue collector for multiple departments, using each guest interaction as an opportunity to promote Copper Mountain's products and services and contribute to financial success.
  • Talk to guests about all available products and successfully sell them.
  • Manage the general flow of the rental process, ensuring proper fit and sizing of ski and ride equipment.
  • Learn the technical aspects of proper binding settings, boot fit, and sizing.
  • Ensure proper placement and storage of rental equipment according to division standards.
  • Engage each guest throughout the rental process with a passion for skiing or riding.
  • Kneel and/or bend over to fit ski, board, and boot equipment.
  • Learn intricate details about specific brands or lines of merchandise to proactively sell items that meet customer needs.
  • Assist with stocking and restocking retail products.
  • Ensure a clean and professional presentation of retail merchandise based on department standards, including cleaning, folding, hanging, and refolding merchandise.
  • Utilize proficient keyboard skills and a Point of Sale system.
  • Accept new responsibilities and transfer others as the resort evolves.
  • Function as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper culture with guests and employees.
  • Uphold a professional image.
  • Continually strive to exceed guest expectations and create memorable experiences for guests and staff.
  • Adapt to fluctuations in hours worked based on overall business volumes as this is a seasonal position.
