About The Position

The Resort Maintenance Technician I performs routine maintenance and basic repair work to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of all 7 Cedars Resort facilities. This position assists with preventive maintenance, responds to work orders, performs minor repairs in multiple trades, and supports senior maintenance staff with larger repair projects. The Resort Maintenance Technician I is expected to provide excellent internal customer service while maintaining compliance with all applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of maintenance, construction, facilities, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and furnishings.
  • Completes preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Assists with light plumbing repairs, including replacing faucets, fixtures, and unclogging drains.
  • Performs basic electrical repairs, including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, bulbs, and appliances.
  • Performs minor carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, shelving, trim, and hardware.
  • Paints interior and exterior surfaces as assigned.
  • Assists with drywall patching and minor building repairs.
  • Assists with groundskeeping, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, and custodial duties when needed.
  • Responds promptly to maintenance work orders.
  • Maintains accurate maintenance records and reports completed work.
  • Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Assists Maintenance Technician II with HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and larger repair projects.
  • Identifies maintenance concerns and reports issues requiring advanced repairs.
  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA standards, company safety regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Exercises confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
