About The Position

Looking for a team-oriented, dedicated candidate to join our Facilities Technician team at our Bay Club Resort in Ocean City, MD! This is a full-time, yearly position with 40 hours a week, 8-hour shifts. The role requires availability on Saturdays and Sundays. A robust benefits package is available. The Houseman responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments, identifies and reports maintenance issues, and posts caution signs. They deliver guest requests, set up furniture, and remove items from hallways, including debris, trays, newspapers, linens, and trash. The position involves cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, and assisting housekeepers as needed. Responsibilities also include removing soiled linen and trash, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service. This includes anticipating guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and communicating professionally both verbally and in writing. Developing positive working relationships and supporting team goals are essential. The Houseman must comply with quality assurance standards and be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Responds promptly to requests from guests, Front Desk, or At Your Service requests.
  • Identifies and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Contacts Engineering, or Housekeeping office directly for urgent repairs.
  • Selects appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment for various surfaces and cleaning jobs, following OSHA regulations and corporate standards.
  • Posts caution signs (e.g., wet floor signs) to limit traffic when necessary.
  • Mowing, landscaping, and completing other groundsman duties for the properties as needed.
  • Removes items from hallways and transports to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near Housekeeper carts.
  • Cleans, maintains, and stores cleaning equipment.
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned area.
  • Assists housekeeper with cleaning on an as needed basis.
  • Removed soiled linen and trash from rooms/villas.
  • Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other associates.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
