About The Position

Resort Housekeepers regularly clean resort facilities, buildings, and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing common areas, appliances, bathrooms, floors, windows, offices, and laundry equipment; stocking supplies; maintaining an orderly appearance; and following safety procedures. Housekeepers report hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and defective equipment to their manager, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work.
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and stock areas with products as needed; ensure tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.
• Clean and sanitize appliances, remove food particles, mold, and mildew, and defrost freezers as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensure they are well lit, and place rubber mats for safety.
• Follow established safety procedures and report unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and defective equipment to the manager.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the resort, buildings, and facilities, keeping them well maintained and orderly.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, and buff floors as needed.
• Keep windows and screens clean and ensure they function properly.
• Maintain washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, and performing related tasks.
• Keep offices and buildings clean and neat, and empty trash containers as needed.
• Clean and change vents and filters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
