About The Position

This role is responsible for various tasks within a manufacturing environment, focusing on material handling, machine operation support, and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. The position also includes specific responsibilities related to food safety and quality assurance, ensuring that all products meet established standards. The job requires a thorough understanding of inventory movement and basic computer skills. The company reserves the right to modify job duties as needed.

Requirements

Forklift experience required
Thorough knowledge of the facilities inventory movement for both shipping and inventory control
Working knowledge of computer operating systems

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred
1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred

Responsibilities

Gather, weigh, and blend materials.
Maintain supply of raw materials (raw material, colors, etc.) to machines.
Grind material, label regrind, and keep the grinding area organized and clean.
Assist in purging machines and cleaning magnets in the hopper throat.
Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines.
Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork.
Gather lot control information for Quality Control.
Monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes.
Check equipment (blenders, dye feeders, grinders, etc.).
Unload bulk resin trailers.
Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation.
Maintain safety in the department.
Perform other warehousing and related tasks.
Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products meet food safety standards.
Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and document data correctly.
Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after any job completion.
Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety to Quality and/or Line/Maintenance Supervision.
