About The Position

The Resin Operator Helper is responsible for assisting in the dispensing and handling of resin materials, ensuring accurate material issuance, and maintaining equipment and work areas. This role involves performing quality checks, operating machinery, and collaborating with other departments to support production priorities. The position requires adherence to all company policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to complete paperwork and production documentation accurately.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate production equipment and tools.
  • Ability to perform quality checks and record test results accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal customers and cross-functional departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Must be able to wear all required PPE.

  • Must be able to work around different types of resins and composite materials.
  • Must be able to work around chemicals and solvents such as acetone, releasing agents and various cleaning supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, material handling, or production environment experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense resin from pumps based on job requirements.
  • Issue materials and batches to work orders accurately.
  • Change out resin and hardener pumps as needed.
  • Stage materials for production use.
  • Apply heat blankets to materials when necessary.
  • Deliver resin and related materials to internal customers.
  • Perform refractive index testing and record results in the quality system.
  • Change out empty barrels and remove lids using a barrel opener.
  • Perform necessary preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Clean machines and maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Monitor and clean the resin disposal area.
  • Remove and replace temporary flooring at the workstation as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork, including checklists, logs, and material request forms.
  • Labor materials in and out using the data collection system.
  • Sweep and mop floors as required to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Maintain 5S standards and support workplace organization.
  • Work closely with other departments to help determine production priorities.
  • Operate an overhead crane following on-the-job training and in-house certification requirements.
  • Operate a forklift following on-the-job training and in-house certification requirements.
  • Follow all departmental procedures, work instructions, and operational guidelines.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and work rules.
