About The Position

The Resin Line Operator plays a critical role in producing high‑performance electrical cables used in mining, oil & gas, and industrial applications where long‑term reliability is essential. This role is responsible for accurately setting up and operating resin/tubing equipment to ensure products are manufactured safely, to specification, and on schedule—directly supporting AmerCable’s ISO 9001 quality standards and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow routers, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by production demands.
  • Ability to operate a lead strip machine and use a computer keyboard.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that all materials staged for assigned orders meet router and order specifications prior to production.
  • Set up resin line and related equipment according to router instructions to ensure correct material application and product configuration.
  • Operate machinery in compliance with established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Apply proper tubing or resin materials to cable products to meet design, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Support the Lead Press Operator to maintain production flow and resolve operational issues as needed.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the process and take corrective action to prevent defects or rework.
  • Identify and contribute to improvements in operator performance and machine efficiency.
  • Complete production orders on time in alignment with the daily and weekly production schedule.
  • Consistently follow AmerCable safety standards, safe work practices, and all 5S housekeeping requirements.
