Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resiliency Testing, and Compliance Risk Management processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including automation, reporting, and data analysis capabilities), PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, and Visio, with the ability to create executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and processes while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex projects from planning through execution with minimal management oversight.
  • Strong experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across business, technology, infrastructure, and support teams to successfully plan and execute Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience tracking compliance metrics, managing remediation efforts, and providing risk-based reporting and status updates to leadership.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions to improve resiliency, recoverability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting audit, regulatory, and governance activities related to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Operational Resiliency programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate annual resiliency testing activities to strengthen application recoverability, operational resilience, and compliance with Bank standards.
  • Partner with Application Managers and Production Support teams to ensure applications are prepared for testing and recovery strategies are validated through successful test execution.
  • Track application testing readiness and performance, ensuring recovery capabilities align with Bank of America resiliency standards, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
  • Monitor testing compliance metrics and drive remediation efforts for applications that are non-compliant, overdue, or unable to meet established recovery requirements.
  • Provide analysis, status reporting, and risk commentary for late, failed, or at-risk testing activities, including escalation of issues requiring management attention.
  • Facilitate post-test reviews and corrective action planning to address identified gaps and improve overall resiliency and recoverability.
  • Partner with technology and business stakeholders to prioritize testing activities, resolve obstacles, and ensure deliverables are completed within required timeframes.
  • Communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively across all organizational levels to identify resources, drive accountability, and achieve program objectives.
  • Provides technical consulting and coordination of corporate vendor information security and business continuity testing services to internal clients.
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency necessary to recommend and implement required solutions and/or execute processes that protect the bank's assets.
  • Participates or leads technical business continuity and vendor initiatives to support ongoing process activities (information security/business continuity vendor assessments, mainframe and/or midrange application and technical infrastructure recovery testing, internal and external vendor testing, event management and progress reporting/measurement).
  • May provide technology based business continuity, information security or vendor subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.
  • Must be able to work under close or minimal supervision with guidance from manager or team lead as necessary.
