The Residential Youth Care Specialist role involves providing care, supervision, structure, and advocacy to build therapeutic relationships with youth. Specialists work alongside committed team members and various functional professionals to support youth success. A typical day includes daily care of youth in residence, working with highly acute and potentially aggressive clients aged 10-17, supporting their treatment processes, and completing assigned tasks. This position requires mandatory attendance at a 4-day, 9am-5pm Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training program prior to client engagement, and all residential staff must pass TCI training and demonstrate proper physical techniques and holds.
