This role involves assisting with direct patient care procedures, including obtaining patient histories and performing metabolic profiles. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for obtaining vital signs, height, and weight for clients on the inpatient unit, providing frequent rounding, and addressing client needs. Key duties include performing UDS/HCG testing according to CLIA standards, maintaining inventory of medicines and medical supplies, and supervising or administering client medications under direct orders from a medical provider. The position also entails scheduling and monitoring medication clinic appointments, authorizing drug refills, and scheduling outside medical appointments. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for obtaining necessary medical information, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensure standards. Staff are expected to exercise principle-centered leadership, focus on customer service, and maintain a continuous quality improvement orientation, adhering to safety management and Joint Commission standards.
