About The Position

The Residential Transport Specialist (RTS) supports client care, maintains a safe and secure residential environment, and contributes to operational efficiency. The role safely transports clients to and from approved destinations while providing supportive, trauma-informed interactions. When not transporting clients, the specialist supports facility safety and security through routine patrols, responding to safety concerns, assisting with behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques, and helping maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Narcan administration training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Complete a health physical screen and have a negative TB test.
• Complete drug and alcohol screening.
• Demonstrate accountability, promptness in relation to client care appointments, a solution-focused and positive team-oriented attitude, and a professional demeanor.
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate orally and in writing with employees at all levels.
• Take constructive feedback and maintain a professional, non-defensive approach.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, healthcare, transportation, or crisis intervention environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to appointments, activities, admissions, discharges, and other approved destinations.
• Maintain professional, trauma-informed care and interactions with clients.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain logs for safety and compliance.
• Complete documentation and logs related to client transport and incident reporting.
• Conduct facility patrols and support safety and security initiatives.
• Assist staff during behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques.
• Support emergency response procedures and operational needs.
