About The Position
CooperRiis is hiring a PRN Residential Support Staff member to provide direct care for residents at its therapeutic healing community in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The role supports residents’ recovery plans and goals, helps facilitate recreational, social, and cultural activities, and provides assistance with crisis management and routine procedures. The schedule includes day, evening, and overnight shifts, with three shifts per month. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience working with adults with mental health challenges.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record to be covered by company insurance.
Responsibilities
- Help lead recreational, social, and cultural activities.
- Encourage residents to participate and facilitate alternative activities as needed for residents who do not participate in planned activities.
- Support residents in their recovery plans and goals.
- Fill in for Lodge Advisors as needed.
- Provide support in crisis management.
- Complete documentation.
- Assist with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer tests, and medication administration.
- Transport and accompany residents on community-based trips, outings, and recreational, social, and cultural activities.
