Full-Time Residential Support Staff - Stamford, CT
About The Position
Liberation Programs is hiring a full-time Residential Support Staff member at Liberation House in Stamford, Connecticut, a men’s inpatient residential treatment program for substance use. The role supports the facility’s daily operations, helps keep Recoveree services on schedule, and ensures Recoverees feel safe and supported. Liberation House serves up to 65 men at a time, with treatment lasting up to 90 days. Recoverees participate in recovery support, individual and group counseling, and may also take part in mental health and Medication Assisted Recovery programs. The program supports residents in building daily-life skills and working toward goals such as employment, stable housing, and maintaining a substance-free routine. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a behavioral health residential setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Crisis management training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and ensure the safety of Recoverees.
- Conduct and document facility protocols.
- Monitor Recoveree meals and medication schedules.
- Support smooth shift transitions by documenting information from the previous shift.
- Maintain open communication with Clinical Supervisors and the Program Director.
- Handle conflict resolution, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
