About The Position

Pathway Family Services is seeking a full-time Residential Supervisor to join their positive, energetic, and supportive workplace. This role involves assisting with the agency's mission of strengthening families by supporting youth with challenging behaviors in a therapeutic environment. The Residential Supervisor will promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served through leading therapeutic groups, teaching daily routines, and implementing positive behavior management strategies. They will act as an advocate for the youth, helping them communicate their needs and goals to achieve a higher quality of life.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in a Residential Program
  • Attendance and successful completion of Safe Crisis Management training (provided by the Agency)
  • Attendance of the Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training
  • Completion of the online certification process to become Nationally Certified within the first year of employment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients
  • Personal characteristics: respectful, integrity, enjoys engaging with clients as they learn, grow, and reach their goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision of direct service program staff assigned to the facility and provides administrative expertise as required.
  • Promote Trauma Informed Care treatment modalities incorporated within the program, supervisory, and management activities.
  • Oversee and supervise a team of staff members working with children in a residential setting.
  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to staff to ensure the safety and well-being of the children under their care.
  • Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and supervision at all times.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide training opportunities.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as case management, therapy, and education to ensure comprehensive care for the children served.
  • Enforce and ensure adherence to all agency policies and procedures by staff members.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff members regarding any concerns or emergencies that may arise during shifts.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of staff interactions, incidents, and progress reports.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and support.
  • Collaborate with the residential director and other supervisors to address any systemic issues and improve the overall functioning of the residential program.
  • Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote accurate and timely information flow.
  • Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
  • Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
  • Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
  • Follows all accreditation standards as well as state standards of oversight for the PRTF.
