About The Position

The Residential Staff and Program Support Lead provides leadership, guidance, and operational support to Program Managers and Residential Directors to ensure high-quality program performance and outcomes. This role focuses on strengthening program structure, promoting consistency with established models, and supporting continuous staff development through coaching, training, and performance feedback. The Residential Staff and Program Support Lead fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence across residential programs. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing effective, trauma-informed milieu management strategies. It provides hands-on training and support to Direct Care Workers and Shift Supervisors while assisting Program Managers and Program Supervisors in maintaining efficient daily operations. The role also monitors program functioning to ensure safe, therapeutic environments that meet the needs of youth in care. The Residential Staff and Program Support Lead may provide interim program coverage during leadership vacancies to ensure continuity of care and operations. This position also includes participation in an on-call rotation to support program needs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human services from an accredited school is preferred. Or 2 Years of education from a college or university with 2 years of experience; or a high school diploma, or an equivalence certificate, and at least 5 years of work expereince in a child-caring facility.
  • Be at least 24 years of age.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the specific needs of the program and the clients
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive per the Maryhurst driving policy

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring that their perspective program is trauma – informed resulting in safe and therapeutic milieu
  • Support the growth and professional development using the employee development cycle process including consistent coaching and direct feedback
  • Support program development, expansion and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain Safe Crisis Management certification (SCM) and participate in SCM intervention with clients as needed
  • Monitor program performance and ensure alignment and adherence with organizational objectives, regulatory bodies and fidelity measures.
  • Regularly attend and/or conduct staff meetings, training, in-service training, SCM reviews, annual training, weekly reviews, leadership meetings, and staff development opportunities
