About The Position
The Residential Specialist provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, the specialist supports individuals in participating in daily life, making choices, and building independence. The role is based in Santee and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $20.00–$20.65 per hour. DailyPay is available through Dayforce Wallet.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid California driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Compassionate, adaptable, responsible, and reliable, with strong communication and problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in helping others.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
