About The Position
The Residential Specialist provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, the specialist empowers clients to participate in daily life, make choices, and build independence. The position is located in Chula Vista and pays $20.00 to $20.65. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Compassionate and genuinely enjoys helping others.
- Adaptable and comfortable working with diverse individuals in different situations.
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible and reliable, with pride in creating a positive environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.
- Passion for making a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
