About The Position

As a Residential Solar Inspection Asset Specialist, you are a member of one of IGS’s fast-paced emerging businesses, responsible for running the business day to day. This role entails using technical photovoltaic knowledge to review and document installation quality for IGS business partners and position IGS Solar to scale the business quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills (modeling, lookups, Nested If-Then statements, Boolean logic, etc.)
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to process and technology changes
  • Willingness to learn and develop new tools and better ways of doing business.
  • Ability to master a variety web-based applications and tools used to manage the business
  • Exceptional organizational skills, basic document management skills, technologically savvy, acute attention to detail, and most importantly a passion for the rigor required launching a new business
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong analytical skills, results oriented
  • Able to adapt, grow and thrive in periods of uncertainty in an ever-changing work environment
  • Technical understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the solar or energy industries (installation, quality assurance, or field services)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Business Administration, Construction Management, Solar Operations, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable experience
  • NABCEP professional certification a plus
  • Intermediate skills in all MS Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

  • Process and review Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspections of newly built IGS projects conducted by third party contractors
  • Gather and enter data on the quality of IGS Solar installations through the IGS Solar O&M360 platform
  • Ability to create and modify user guides, job aids and documentation for training purposes
  • Assist EPC partners with education and training on IGS standards for solar installations.
  • Ability to review and audit completed work for accuracy, make corrections when necessary, and timely report status to management
  • Ensure EPC partners are developing solar installations that meet both National Electric Code and IGS quality standards.
  • Analyze KPIs to assess performance metrics and identify areas of improvement within IGS’ portfolio of assets.
