About The Position

The Residential Services Monitor oversees long-term residents participating in a residential rehabilitation or treatment program. The role helps maintain resident safety, facility security, and compliance with house rules and treatment plans. It also maintains complete client records and logs and helps keep the housing facility orderly. The position is performed in a normal office environment and requires travel for community and home visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience performing security or social service work preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within the established timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ activities to ensure safety and compliance with facility house rules.
• Check the security of windows and doors and make periodic rounds of the facility.
• Record unusual situations that occur during the assigned shift.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and take appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Complete client intake paperwork and daily case notes, and enter data into the computer to maintain client records.
• Assist with verbal and physical aggression that may occur among residents.
• Help ensure treatment plans are followed and required skills are taught.
• Help maintain the long-term housing facility in neat and proper order.
