About The Position

The Residential Services Monitor oversees long-term residents participating in a residential rehabilitation or treatment program. The role supports residents’ safety and security, enforces facility house rules, maintains complete client records and shift logs, and helps keep the facility neat and orderly. The monitor also supports adherence to residents’ treatment plans and the teaching of skills. This position is full-time and regular, based in Waco, Texas, and works an overnight shift. The work is primarily performed in a normal office environment, with travel required for community and home visits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of experience performing security or social service work preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid state driver’s license.
CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within the established timeframe.

Responsibilities

Monitor resident activities to ensure safety and compliance with long-term facility house rules.
Check the security of all windows and doors and make periodic rounds of the entire facility.
Record unique situations that occur during the assigned shift.
Respond calmly to emergencies and initiate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Complete required paperwork, including client intake documentation and daily case notes.
Enter information into the computer to maintain client records.
Assist with verbal and physical aggression that may occur from residents.
Maintain the facility in neat and proper order and support compliance with treatment plans and skills teaching.
