About The Position

The Residential Services Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of OCYFS's Emergency Shelter and Qualified Residential Treatment Program. This role is for someone ready to make a real difference in their community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus one year's experience in managing a child care facility, OR a High School education and five year's experience in managing a child care facility.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card.
  • Must have a current Arkansas Driver's license and insurable under OCC's commercial vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
  • Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.
  • Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies.
  • Works effectively with all agency staff members to promote a positive, productive ethical culture.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, schedules and evaluates direct care staff.
  • Ensures that emergency shelter care is performed according to OCYFS's mission, policies and procedures, funding, performance indicators and OCYFS's vision and beliefs.
  • Provides on-going training for direct care staff and identifies unmet training needs.
  • Monitors Emergency shelter and QRTP record documentation.
  • Reviews direct care staff client file & log documentation.
  • Coordinates and schedules on and off campus activities for OCC residents.
  • Ensure that monthly/quarterly drills are assigned and performed.
  • Prepares/maintains readiness for all State, local, or other licensure inspections.
  • Ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of building in coordination with OCYFS maintenance staff and Facilities Director.
  • Attends Management Meetings as scheduled.
  • Participates in OCYFS's quality improvement and serves on assigned committees.
  • Reviews performance quality improvement reports to identify areas of needed improvement and participates in developing and implementation solutions to improve quality of service.
  • Assist in development of yearly plan that supports OCYFS long term strategic goals.
  • Participates in OCYFS's annual budget planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
