Residential Services Coordinator – Oahu
About The Position
This is a hands-on leadership role in a residential behavioral health program serving adults in community-based housing. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily operations, support resident needs, manage housing-related tasks, and help keep the home safe, structured, and respectful. This role is for someone who understands that residential work is real work: schedules, crises, documentation, inspections, staff coverage, resident dignity, and the daily discipline of keeping a program steady. You will do well here if you can lead without ego, stay calm under pressure, hold people accountable, and treat adults with mental health challenges with respect.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5–10 years of experience in human services, behavioral health, residential programs, housing, or a related field with increasing responsibility
- CPR certification, First Aid certification, and TB clearance, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Ability to work in a residential and community-based housing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as program needs require
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Supervise residential staff, volunteers, and practicum students
- Build staff schedules and help ensure appropriate shift coverage
- Coordinate referrals, admissions, resident needs, and service follow-up
- Handle housing-related tasks, including rent processes, inspections, unit turnover, and tenant matters
- Monitor documentation, reports, records, and compliance requirements
- Respond to crises and help staff manage difficult situations appropriately
- Work with community partners and service providers
- Help maintain a safe, structured, respectful residential environment
