Requirements
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Able to perform essential job functions
- Conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening
- Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
Responsibilities
- Assist with completing portions of assessments and training plans to support individual needs
- Carry out assigned training plans and procedures to help individuals build daily living skills
- Record and report information to support updates to each individual's treatment plan
- Share observations and communicate skill strengths and need areas with interdisciplinary team members
- Help enhance living areas through selection, placement, and upkeep of personal items and equipment
- Promote dignity, privacy, and rights while following all policies and procedures
