Residential Services Aide - Selinsgrove Center (1st Shift and 2nd Shift)

As a Residential Services Aide with the Selinsgrove Center, you will help individuals build important daily living skills that support independence and growth. This position supports the development, delivery, and monitoring of training and treatment services for individuals served at the Selinsgrove Center. The role includes assisting with individualized plans, documenting progress, and working as a part of the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with completing assessments and training plan information for each individual
- Carry out assigned training plans and procedures to encourage active treatment
- Record and report information that supports updates to individual plans
- Communicate with team members to share strengths and needs of individuals
- Help select, place, and maintain personal items and equipment for therapeutic settings
- Model appropriate behavior while protecting privacy, dignity, and individual rights
