About The Position

A respected luxury custom home builder is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Residential Service Technician / Maintenance Carpenter to perform warranty work, punch-list completion, repairs, and general maintenance within high-end homes. This position is ideal for a hands-on residential construction professional with broad trade knowledge who takes pride in quality workmanship and knows how to interact professionally with homeowners. The right person will be comfortable handling smaller repairs independently while recognizing when specialized or licensed trade support is required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in residential construction, home maintenance, carpentry, warranty service, or a related role
  • Strong general knowledge of residential building systems and construction processes
  • Hands-on experience with carpentry, finish work, drywall, painting, and general home repairs
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting
  • Ability to determine which repairs can be completed internally and which require a licensed specialist
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently, organize daily priorities, and manage multiple service requests
  • Comfortable working inside occupied luxury homes
  • Basic proficiency with tablets, email, photographs, and field-documentation software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform general residential maintenance, repair, and light construction work
  • Complete punch-list and finish work as projects approach completion
  • Respond to warranty and homeowner service requests promptly and professionally
  • Diagnose issues, recommend practical solutions, and escalate complex work to licensed specialists when appropriate
  • Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, hardware installation, painting touch-ups, caulking, trim work, and other finish-related tasks
  • Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and residential-system concerns
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal team members regarding schedules and scopes of work
  • Maintain professional communication with homeowners and provide updates regarding service activity
  • Document service calls, repairs, materials, progress photographs, and daily site notes
  • Ensure completed work meets company quality standards, applicable codes, and safety requirements
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and vehicle in good working condition
  • Support project teams with miscellaneous field tasks as needed
