About The Position

Woodland Builders is seeking an experienced hands-on Residential Carpenter to join our growing team. The Carpenter will support residential remodeling and design-build projects by performing framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, punch list work, and other hands-on carpentry tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining Woodland Builders' high standards on every jobsite.

Requirements

  • Previous carpentry experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of carpentry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and tools
  • Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
  • Experience with framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, and general residential carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and measurements
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to communicate jobsite needs or challenges
  • Professional communication skills with team members, subcontractors, and homeowners
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled carpentry work on residential remodeling and construction projects
  • Complete framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, blocking, repairs, adjustments, and related tasks
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
  • Read and follow plans, project details, measurements, and jobsite instructions
  • Support whole-home renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and other remodeling projects
  • Complete punch list items and final detail work as needed
  • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while staying aligned with the project team
  • Coordinate with Lead Carpenters, Project Managers, subcontractors, and other team members as needed
  • Identify jobsite issues and communicate them promptly to the appropriate team member
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow jobsite safety procedures and company standards
  • Represent Woodland Builders professionally while working in clients' homes and on active jobsites
