About The Position

As a Lead Carpenter at Mitchell Construction Group, LLC, you will play a crucial role in executing various construction tasks, assisting the Site Supervisors and Project Manager, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. You will work on a range of projects, from new constructions to renovations, and will be responsible for supervising subcontractors, interpreting construction drawings, and performing carpentry and other construction tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Lead carpenter, with 5+ years in a similar role.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
Stay informed of building codes and inspection requirements.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications (CSL) and experience as a Lead Carpenter.
Experience with residential construction projects.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.
Understand work orders, change orders and all other related job documents.
Perform rough and finish carpentry to our standard of quality and according to plan specifications.
Be able to work independently with focus on detail, quality and ability to stay on track through job completion.
Supervise Carpenter and subcontractor work on site, act as a leader and train as necessary.
Act as a representative of MCG with Client
Act as Safety Officer for each job site Understands and complies with all safety guidelines and ensures that job site and laborers adhere safety policies.
Track job inventory through job progression. Check in materials at delivery to ensure proper items, quantity and quality are delivered. Report issues to Site Supervisor.
Maintain a clean jobsite - be sure to put all tools away in job box or truck
Maintain and post Daily Job Logs.
