About The Position

Burns & McBride is launching a residential plumbing department and is seeking an experienced service plumber. This role offers the opportunity to help build a new department within an established company that has served the community for over 75 years. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who can accurately diagnose issues, communicate clearly with homeowners, present repair and replacement options confidently, and generate revenue through education rather than pressure. Requirements

Five or more years of residential service plumbing experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across residential plumbing systems
Proven ability to independently manage a daily service schedule
Experience presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners
A history of delivering exceptional customer service while consistently meeting revenue goals
Confident, professional, and customer-focused communication skills
Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management abilities
Comfortable using mobile technology and service-management software
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Commitment to safety, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship
A self-driven mindset and willingness to take ownership of each service call

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and replace residential plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment
Independently manage a full daily service schedule
Thoroughly evaluate plumbing concerns and identify the root cause—not just the immediate symptom
Explain findings clearly and present homeowners with appropriate repair and replacement options
Help customers make informed decisions through honest education and professional recommendations
Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality
Build trust with homeowners and consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience
Meet performance and revenue goals by identifying legitimate customer needs and offering the right solutions
Accurately document diagnoses, estimates, recommendations, and completed work using mobile service software
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
Protect customers’ homes and leave every work area cleaner than you found it
Minimize callbacks by completing work correctly the first time
Provide feedback and ideas that help strengthen the new plumbing department
