About The Position

Washington Property Company is seeking a Residential Service Manager for their 81-unit community in College Park, Maryland. This role is a key member of the residential operations leadership team. The Building Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the community is a great place to live by overseeing and supporting the maintenance team in keeping the asset safe, clean, and inviting. This includes ensuring that maintenance issues in residents’ apartment homes are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. The role involves providing outstanding customer service, training and coaching team members, and overseeing maintenance functions related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance maintenance tickets. The Service Manager is an important member of a larger team responsible for ensuring residents have an exceptional experience.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of trusted experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, and/or hospitality building maintenance.
  • A track record of exceptional customer service and client relations.
  • Strength in building trades.
  • Knowledge of complex mechanical building systems to include central plant systems.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance.
  • Experience in budget and vendor/subcontractor management.
  • Experience successfully leading CAPX projects delivering on time and within budget.
  • Ability to make the customer happy by solving their maintenance issues.
  • Ability to treat everyone with kindness and respect.
  • Organized.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • An eye for detail.
  • High school GED.
  • CFC certification.
