About The Position

The Residential Service Electrician will perform essential job duties including installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential buildings. This involves working with wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. The role requires interpreting blueprints, adhering to electrical codes and specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The electrician will troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faults, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Collaboration with homeowners, contractors, and team members is crucial for discussing project requirements and coordinating installations and repairs. The position also involves safely using various tools and equipment, adhering to safety protocols, staying updated on industry developments and code changes, procuring customer payments, and submitting required documentation. A company vehicle will be driven to company-assigned locations to obtain parts and materials.

Requirements

Valid electrician license (or equivalent experience, depending on state requirements)
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings, including wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Interpret and follow blueprints, electrical codes, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance with safety regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faults in wiring, circuits, and equipment to determine the appropriate course of action.
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and coordinate electrical installations and repairs.
Safely use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power drills, wire cutters, multimeters, and conduit benders.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that work is conducted in a safe manner and that appropriate protective measures are taken.
Keep abreast of industry developments, electrical code changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Procure customer payment
Submit required documents, photos, etc either electronically or hard copy
Drive Company vehicle to Company assigned locations to obtain required parts and materials
