About The Position

F.F. Hitchcock Company is seeking a full-time Residential Service Electrician to join their Cheshire, CT team. This role requires a licensed trade professional who is a hands-on problem solver, capable of completing exceptional electrical repairs, upgrades, and installations. The position involves travel to customer homes to evaluate systems, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs, installations, or maintenance. As the electrician progresses, there may be opportunities for leadership duties on larger jobs and escalated calls. Requirements

Active Connecticut E-2 journeyman license
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Ability to travel throughout central Connecticut and Greater New Haven County as assigned
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

Perform electrical repairs, upgrades, and installations in residential settings.
Travel to assigned homes to evaluate customers' electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete appropriate repairs, installations, or maintenance services.
Perform panel changes and service upgrades.
Install generators and EV chargers.
Maintain HVAC and heat pump electrical systems.
Communicate professionally with customers.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Potentially take on leadership duties and assist with escalated calls at Level 3.
Lead the crew on larger jobs at Level 3.
