About The Position

The Residential Service Electrical Manager oversees the daily operations of a residential electrical service division. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, communication, and business management skills.

Requirements

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • 5+ years of experience in residential electrical service, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and code requirements
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience with service management software and scheduling systems
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of residential service electricians and apprentices
  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch service calls to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and training for team members
  • Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of complex electrical issues
  • Manage inventory, tools, and materials to ensure technicians are properly equipped
  • Monitor job costs, labor hours, and departmental profitability
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, productivity, and revenue
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure positive resolution
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for service upgrades and maintenance agreements
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and compliance documentation
