About The Position

Messing Roofing & Construction, a company with over 40 years of experience in residential roofing and exterior projects, is seeking a motivated Residential Sales Consultant / Estimator to join their Peoria team. This role involves meeting with homeowners, inspecting properties, preparing estimates, and closing sales for roofing, siding, gutters, and windows. The position requires managing customer relationships from initial contact through contract execution and collaborating with the production team for a seamless customer experience. It's an opportunity for a driven sales professional to earn an uncapped income while representing an established and trusted company.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in residential roofing, exterior remodeling, construction sales, or in-home sales preferred.
  • Proven ability to close sales and build strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and performing roof inspections (training provided if needed).
  • Ability to accurately measure roofs and prepare estimates.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Office, and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners to inspect roofing systems and exterior components.
  • Conduct thorough roof inspections and identify storm, age-related, or installation-related damage.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for roofing, siding, gutters, windows, and related exterior projects.
  • Educate homeowners on products, warranties, installation methods, and available solutions.
  • Present estimates professionally and confidently while closing sales opportunities.
  • Generate new business through company-provided leads, referrals, networking, and self-generated opportunities.
  • Build lasting relationships with homeowners through exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and production staff to ensure smooth project handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using the company's CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Represent Messing Roofing & Construction with professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times.
