About The Position

Namaste Solar, an employee-owned cooperative and Certified B Corp, is seeking a Residential Sales & Design Specialist. This role focuses on educating homeowners about solar energy and battery storage systems through a consultative and educational sales approach. It is a non-commission role within a collaborative, supportive, and thoughtful team environment. The position operates on a hybrid model, allowing for remote work and office presence in Longmont or Denver, with occasional in-home customer visits required. The role offers significant growth potential for a self-motivated team player.

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and follow-up skills
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Practice self-awareness, accountability, confidence, and poise while juggling numerous tasks and responsibilities
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with experience managing a large workload
  • Understand financial calculations and how to present those concepts to customers (ROI, IRR, NPV)
  • Team player in a collaborative rather than competitive sales team
  • Proficient with computers, Salesforce & Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
  • Experience using Aurora Solar for PV solar design
  • Experience with home battery storage systems
  • NABCEP Technical Sales certification
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience, or Engineering degree
  • SEI Solar PV courses, and/or COSEIA certification

Responsibilities

  • Design and sell residential PV solar systems and battery storage
  • Use a consultative sales and design approach to help meet project goals
  • Prepare proposals for potential customers and present the benefits via video conference or phone
  • Manage your sales pipeline and log all customer communication using Salesforce
  • Prepare purchase agreements and take the customer through the closing
  • Set expectations with the customer and educate them on the installation process
  • Communicate with Residential Operations to effectively handoff projects for installation
  • Collaborate effectively with the Sales Team and other departments
  • Exchange knowledge, share best practices, and be open to giving and receiving feedback
